Barbara's Bakery Cheese Puffs, Baked White Cheddar, 5.5 Ounce Bag

  • Puffy, cheesy, and delicious
  • Baked with real aged white cheddar cheese
  • 0 grams of trans fat per serving
  • Made with Non-GMO corn
  • A healthier snack the whole family can enjoy

My roommate had to take custody of the box these came in because I have no control when it comes to these things. They are just so good. Perfectly crunchy but somehow still soft, just the right amount of grease so you get that perfect balance of fat and carbs that results in snacking ecstasy, a dash of jalapeno just strong enough to enhance the salty cheesy flavor without overpowering the experience in any way. Note: I never would have bought these because I hate bleu cheese and I've never liked cheese puffs, but I tried them when a friend offered. I can recognize the bleu cheese flavor when I think about it, but it in no way resembles the experience of eating fresh bleu cheese. The process of drying and the mix of ingredients mellows the flavor in a way I didn't think possible.

I have been a consumer of Barbara’s Cheese Puffs (Jalapeno) for years. It is my go-to guilty indulgence snack-food. This product, if your taste runs toward a rich cheesy flavor, and you enjoy that nibble crunch that casual snaking delivers, is in my personal opinion, one of, if not the best product in this category. If I had a complaint, which is more of a suggestion, since I like it hot, and I do mean hot, is for this company to also offer a Ghost Pepper version of their Cheese Puffs. Regardless though, even though I am a health conscious consumer, I will continue to indulge myself with this absolutely delicious product. Yet, with that statement said, I should also clarify that I do not think that this product produces any adverse affects in my system. It is also, in my opinion, a good price to volume product.

I love cheesy chip snacks! Being the adventurous type, I bought these as an alternative to Cheese Doodles, and honestly, I think they are way better. The cheese in Barbara's has a much more natural taste to them, and the puff has a lighter, less fragmenting crunch, too. The only bad thing I can say about these is that I hate having to clean the cheesy build up from nephew's fingers before he starts drawing stuff on his face!

The kids wanted cheezy dibbles after watching the penguins movie. I know I did not want to get the more famous brand of cheese puff with a cheetah representative, and these filled the bill. The white cheddar taste just like a cheddar cheese puff only its white and thus non of that orange/yellow cheese finger that can stain any fabric its rubbed onto. The ingredients do not contain GMO corn and the other popular not so healthy additives that are included in the the cheetah puffs. The taste again is just great and the bag size is perfect for a whole family to snack for a movie night. They are so tasty that once a bag is opened they get eaten pretty quick, so I can not address the issue of how are they a day or two after they are opened. The box it came in was perfectly packaged from the factory and did not need any out side boxing to make the shipping trip without any damage. This has become a new favorite snack in our home, and we have four penguins to thank for it.

I hadn't had Barbara's cheese puffs in quite a few years. I remember I used to be addicted to them when I lived next door to a health food store and only had to pop in to get them. Finding myself pondering how simply horrible Cheetos are -- barely-cheese-flavored packing peanuts -- I suddenly wondered if I'd still find Barbara's wonderful. And I sure do! The flavor is specific to this brand and just splendid. Now that it's a product back in my life I'm afraid I'll have to be reordering it regularly.

My husband jokes that I should be a rep for Barbara's because I am always turning people onto this snack. There is just enough jalapeno in these savory puffs to make them ridiculously addictive, and the salt and cheese levels are perfect. The packaging suggests that blue cheese is also a component of the flavor profile, but I have a hard time tasting it, and I'm not a big fan of blue cheese. Because the're an all-natural snack, I feel better about buying 'junk food'. I've started bringing bags of these along on trips with friends, to poker/pot lucks, and giving out a bag now and again to someone I think will like them. Now everyone in town is ordering these from Amazon, as they aren't offered in our local stores.

We have two people in the house with medical reasons for a Gluten Free diet, so this is a matter of the long haul, not a fad diet. Are "Cheese Puffs" the most healthful snack out there? Definitely not. Lots of better option out there from a straight nutrition perspective. But my daughter and I still struggle sometimes with things we miss from our gluten days. And especially with three other people in the house who can eat whatever they want - even if they ARE usually petty kind about not rubbing out noses in it. A lot of gluten free packaged food is so bad that there's just no reason to bother, let alone spend too much money. But these? THESE ARE GOOD!! Hands-down the best gluten free savory snack food we've ever tried. And what's more: These are BETTER than the gluten-full competition!! (Even our omnivorous male family members agree). Yummy! No, they don't taste like those mass market ones that are dyed that frightening orange color. Thank goodness. They are fluffy, and crunchy, and they taste like... CHEESE!! Taken as a whole, it reminds a little bit of eating macaroni and cheese - and for me, that's a VERY good thing. I paid a lot more for these the fist time I found them at a specialty food store. You can imagine how delighted I was to find them available for less on Amazon, and better still, on Subscribe & Save! DON'T miss these, if you're living gluten free!

These are, hands down, the best Cheese Puff type snack on the market. I would even say that they could give the "Praise the Lord" Planters Cheese Balls, may they rest in peace, a run for their money. My nephew loves Barbara's jalapeño variety of this snack, but I am a fan of the original; I would even admit to being too much of a fan! I buy them by the case and then lock them up and only allow myself a treat every now and again. They are so, so yummy!

I’m obsessed with these. I have celiac disease, and some grains even bother me (as well as msg found in conventional brands), but with Barbara’s, I’m good to go! The expiration is short: we received at the end of April, and they expire in August. However, I have a bunch of kids, and I, myself love them, so I’m not worried about them going bad, and they currently taste fresh. My order was for 12 bags, at 7 oz each, and with subscribe and save I paid just over $2/bag! Another bonus, is that there are no messy, orange hands!

Too good. I always bought these at our local grocery store, but they were started to sell out all the time. Now I am buying them by the dozen on Amazon. They basically like a cheeto, but better - crisp, crunchy and cheesy - but also have hints of bleu cheese and are NOT made with artificial ingredients and non GMO (yay!) - which is the best part. Of course they are not calorie free, but you can snack on these without feeling like you are not eating real food. We love them in our house!
